We collect the following information during the registration and online payment process:

• Personal information such as name, address, telephone number, and email address. We maintain this information in a database for future STGEC planning;
• Information regarding the conference such as what events you will attend; and
• Credit card information. We do not maintain any credit card information. It is only used during the registration process.

We do not use cookies, pixel tags, or other clickstream data methods.

We only use the information for the following various purposes related to the conference:

• Process and track your order;
• Determine the number of people who will attend each event;
• Contact you regarding the conference; and
• Send you emails about other geotechnical conferences.

We share information in the following manner:

• We contract with a private firm for credit card processing;
• We provide a list of attendees' Names and Organizations in the conference program;
• We provide a list of Steering Committee members' Name, Title, Work Address, Work Phone, and Work Email in the conference program; and
• We provide our attendee database to the next STGEC host state after each conference.

It's possible we may have to respond to a court order, or may also share information with companies assisting in fraud protection or investigation.

We will email you updates about the STGEC conference and other geotechnical conferences, and also to follow up on requests or to clarify your registration. If you do not want to receive emails please contact us.

We use Authorize.net as our credit card Payment Gateway, using SSL for data encryption. We advise using a modern browser to provide security during credit card transactions.
